When I first met with Britany and Stephan on a cold winter day in January, it was hard for them to envision their warm outdoor summer ceremony. Once we started discussing their dream wedding, we all started dreaming of summer. Britany expressed her desire for bright colorful blooms that would contrast against the dark purple of her bridesmaids dresses. After discussing the pros and cons of several blooms we landed on dark pink roses, dark pink orchids, purple stock, green spider mums, white gardenias, and fern shoots.
The Reception
Their wedding was at the Minneapolis Event Center, a favorite of many Minneapolis couples. Because Britney envisioned a warm and romantic atmosphere, we decided to incorporate candles to set the right tone. Their reception was the perfect blend of overhead twinkle lights, lots of greenery, flowers, and candles. In addition, Britany had bought a few peacock feathers to subtly incorporate into some of the centerpieces which added a soft touch of interest.
From the Couple
Britany and Stefan purchased a house shortly before the wedding. Knowing that they did not have to worry about their flowers gave them more energy to focus on celebrating their special day and turning their new house into a home. On the day of the wedding the couple was very happy with the floral colors and designs. I could not have asked for a kinder family to work with.
